It’s October, the mornings are darker, the evenings are darker, the festivals have finished and we’ve packed away the sandals. It’s officially autumn, which means it’s time for the knits AKA baggy jumper season. There was a little confusion I think mid/late sept as the weather was mild as we heard there was an Indian summer potentially coming our way. I don’t think that ever turned up and it feels like and glimpse of warm weather has well and truly disappeared, although it is still pretty mild now, with just a little nip in the air! I’m not a weather lady so let’s get to the good stuff, the clothes.
A ‘hero’ piece this season, and a piece which you’ve probably seen on the majority of Instagram feeds, or somewhere online, is this, a ‘prince of wales’ check blazer. I did have to google ‘Prince of Wales’ because I was thinking ‘oh Charles had designed his own blazer’, LOL. Nope, according to wiki, the pattern is called Glen Plaid and it has been given the nickname Prince of Wales, so there we go, we’ve all learnt something today (probably just me)!
Just a quick post to show you my LFW outfit! It wasn’t very extravagant, I played it so safe with a monochrome two-piece, but I felt comfortable, happy and confident in it and I guess that’s all that matters really?!
It’s that time of year where we are making the transition from summer to more autumnal clothing. It can be tricky to make the change and so I’m sharing my transitional outfits and what I’ve been wearing recently to hopefully give you some inspiration/ideas! As you’ll see, I’m still clinging on to summer so I’m not ditching all of the sandals just yet!
