A year or so ago, I probably wouldn’t have worn this dress, I was obsessed with black clothes and thought anything like this might have been too much, even when I was choosing it online, I thought, too much?
WEAR MORE COLOUR THIS SUMMER
And no it isn’t! I’ve worn it 3 times now and each time I’ve worn it I’ve felt so great! It’s given me a real confidence booster to wear more things like this! We can get stuck in such a rut with clothes, wearing very similar things all the time. Summer is the best time to be trying new clothes, new colours and new styles!
Work out what colours suit your skin tone, and what doesn’t. I know that bright red tones, don’t really suit me, nor does mustard, it completely clashes with my hair, so I’ll always stay away from those colours. But greens, oranges, and pinks suit me so I’ll be focusing on those when I’m shopping for some brighter pieces!
This dress was under £40, so you don’t need to go and spend a lot of money on one bright/bold pieces, find something affordable which if you only wear once a month, it isn’t going to break the bank and make you feel guilty.
Here are some of my favourite colourful dresses on the high street…
I hope you can bring out some more colour this summer!
Lots of love
