4 days in Ibiza with Jet2holidays
Ibiza is world famous for being the party island, but there is so much more to it than that. I’ve been to Ibiza a few times before, I’ve seen both sides of it, the partying and the more relaxed beautiful areas.
Where to stay in San Antonio?
I’ve just got back from a 4 day trip to San Antonio with Jet2holidays checking out the newly refurbished Sa Clau By Mambo. They’re located right in the heart of San Antonio! You’ve got everything on your doorstep here, from the marina, to ‘the strip’. I did avoid the strip but it’s so handy being located here as the boats are right on your doorstep ready to take you to a variety of the beautiful ibiza beaches. I love Cala Bassa and Cala Gracieonta. If you have time, head over to Formentera too!
The hotel’s interior is #goals. The white walls, minimalism style, and scandal vibe is what pinterest dreams are made of. It’s super light and airy, all with a balcony too! I love having the balcony door open and letting in the fresh sea breeze! You can see the marina right from the balcony too! The staff were amazing, they were so helpful and friendly. When we visited, they had only been open a week so we were the first people to stay in our room!
I’ve stayed in a couple of other hotels in San Antonio previously and they tend to be a little run down/not looked after, but this was so lovely, and the prices are super reasonable too. I’d highly recommend this hotel if you want to stay in San Antonio. The trip was booked as a package holiday via Jet2holidays. We had a great flight, quick transfer and easy check in experience. You can also just book your flightswith Jet2holidays. They have some super affordable holidays online!
Where to eat in San Antonio?
I’m such a foodie so where I eat is important to me. San Antonio is full of restaurants, but just like any holiday destination, some are good are some aren’t.
Palapa – this is a v cute beach shack mexican style restaurant, it’s located by the parade. (very good to people watching spot!) They have tacos, burritos, nanchos, the usual mexican bits, but also a few burgers and larger dishes too! They also have delicious frozen strawberry daiquiri’s and margaritas!
Cafe Mambo – I’m sure you would have heard of cafe Mambo. You can watch the most gorgeous view of the sunset here with a really cool atmosphere. Once the sun sets, the music goes up! It’s a really fun place to spend your evening! If you want to eat, you’ll need to book a table, but if you’re going just for drinks – there’s plenty of standing space and you can actually go down to the rocks on the beach and sit and watch! The cocktails are around 16 euros here.
Bondi – If you stay at Sa Clau By Mambo, and book bed and brekkie, you breakfast is served here. It’s next door to the hotel. They have loads of snack options, plus juices and smoothies too!
Surf lounge ibiza – we came across this place just wandering around looking for some lunch! It serves food and drink but also has one of those wave rider/surf machine pool thingys! They’ve also got a normal pool if you wanted a dip. Relaxed and casual vibe!
KVida – if your facing the marina by the hotel, head right and walk around the marina, there are lots of lovely restaurants this way. We ate at KVida, it was an italian restaurant, I can never say no to a bit of pasta and garlic bread!
What to do?
Have a beach day, as I mentioned above you’ve got all the water taxi’s on your doorstep to take you to which ever beach you want to check out! Head over to ibiza town. It’s my favourite place on the island, there are plenty of shops and restaurants. You can look at the super yahts (and google who owns them!), and then head up to Dalt Villa in the old town, its so beautiful and the views from the top are really special. Back in San Antonio, if you’re looking out to the marina by the hotel, head left and walk all around. You’ll come by Ocean Beach Club, and it’s a nice walk with a few little bars where you can sit and have a drink looking out on the sea!
Spend a day relaxing at Cala Gracioneta. Its a gorgeous little beach with a really relaxed atmosphere, and also an amazing restaurant! We had Paella for lunch which was delicious! It’s such a little escape from the hustle and bustle of San Antonio! It took around 10-15 minutes in a taxi and cost 12 euros. It was a little overcast when we was there so the photo’s don’t do it justice!
What to wear?
Anything seems to go in ibiza, it really depends what you’re doing! I really loved my ibiza wardrobe this year, I went with lots of denim and white! You can check out my Ibiza outfit diaries here.
