Yes you read that correctly, you can fly to and from NYC from London, for under £300 with Norwegian in economy.
Late last year, I discovered Norwegian. They are the world’s sixth largest low-cost airline operating over 500 routes to more than 150 destinations in Europe, the U.S, South America and Asia. The airline has also been voted Europe’s best low-cost carrier for five years running!
I went to New York in December and flew with Norweigan. I honestly, was super super impressed. I was very lucky and flew premium with them, and I’ve never experienced anything like this before. I haven’t ever flown first class/business class or anything like that before, so let me tell you a little about this experience. To start with, even the premium flights are affordable and a lot cheaper than other airlines. With the premium tickets, you got free entry to the lounge at the airport, no sitting on the floor, this was an all you can eat, all you can drink, chill, wifi, plugs, THE LOT. A really relaxing and indulgent way to start the trip. Then, no boarding queue, they have a separate premium boarding queue and you’re straight on. OH HELLO ALL THE LEG ROOM I COULD EVER NEED! Then the lovely crew members come round with another soft beverage, so stress-free. The flight time to JFK was around 8 hours and it was an extremely comfortable 8 hours, I could have stayed on much longer! You also get 2 meals included, as many drinks as you like, lots of films and TV shows to watch, safe to say, I really enjoyed the flight!
I’m not writing this to show off at all, I just want to share how many perks and luxuries you get with the premium tickets. If you can do it, it is a real luxury and a special way to start and end a trip. The return premium flights are around £1000, but compared to other airlines, this is a lot cheaper and it’s all the extra little bits you get as well which makes it so stress-free and relaxing. Oh you can also check in 2 suitcases and take hand luggage on board!
Obviously I won’t be able to afford to fly premium every time, and I want to go back to NYC this year, and I am more than happy to fly in their economy cabin as you still had a spacious seat, all the films and TV shows and the main part, under £300 return flight, that is SO cheap and could make a your dream trip to NYC much more affordable!
Norwegian gets a HUGE thumbs up from me and I cannot recommend enough! This airline will also make my bucket-list destinations easier to visit with the extremely reasonable prices.
