Thomas’s Café is a British all day dining experience within the Burberry store on Regent Street, London, and recently I tried out the new autumn afternoon tea!
I think you all know that I blimmin’ love an afternoon tea, of course my favourites are the sweet treats, especially a warm scone. OHHHH just thinking about them, I need to eat one immediately! Do you say Scone or Scon(e)? And do you dollop cream or jam first? I’m a cream then jam scone kinda gal. I just don’t understand the jam then cream situation?!
The afternoon tea included Thomas’s signature fondant fancies (ABSOLUTELY DELISH), Dundee cake, clementine tart (probably my favourite!), walnut whip and lemon drizzle cake. We also had some classic finger sandwiches and baked goods from the AGA (scones and a tea cake). Oh and a glass of Champagne, I went on a Friday afternoon, so why not!
The setting is truly beautiful. Regent Street itself is such a magical place and every time I walk down, I just think how beautiful it is and how I love being British and living so close to London!
I went with my photographer friend Lydia (all photos are taken by her) and they played beautiful music, almost whisking us away to somewhere else in Europe! The service was wonderful and really treated us like royalty.
A super lovely 2 hours, of girly chatting, indulging and living our lives. Recently I have been struggling with the work/life balance and it does amazing things to take a couple of hours out, with good company and I left feeling on top of the world.
Lots of love
