I think we can all agree that it is the best feeling taking off your make up and having clean skin. Just that feeling of the air to your skin and feeling free.

I take removing my makeup pretty seriously. I hate when you’ve cleaned your face, thought you had taken off all the make-up and then dry your face on a towel, only to see foundation marks on the towel.

For a couple of years now, I have always ‘double cleansed’ and that is something I would 100% recommend if you don’t. It’s a simple one, but an amazing beauty tip! Cleanse once to remove the make-up, and then the second cleanse will shift any leftover make up and clean the skin.

Whilst we’re talking about beauty tips and cleansing skin, I thought I’d share a few of my clean beauty tips with you!

  • If you have any stubborn mascara, soak a cotton pad in micellar cleansing water, and hold on your closed eye for a minute or two, and sweep away! All gone!
  • I often like to use cotton muslin cloths when I’m cleansing my face, I use these once and then put them in the washing machine! You’ll always have clean cloths to use!
  • Apply a face mask after a warm shower. Whilst you’re in the shower, the warm water will open the pores, so when you get out, pop on your face mask, and it will work better as the pores are open!

I’ve been giving the Yes To Cotton range a go. It has been designed for the care and comfort of delicate skin! I often suffer from sensitive skin, and I’m quite allergy prone, so I love using products that are formulated to care for Sensitive Sally over here.

In the Yes To Cotton range there is the Comforting Micellar Cleansing Water, Comforting Facial Wipes and the Comforting Mud Mask (single use). I put the two cleansing products to the test to see if they would completely remove all of my make-up and not leave any marks on white tees’, towels etc.

You can watch it in action below. I’ve stuck to my double cleanse routine, using the Micellar cleansing water on cotton pads first and then followed by a face wipe.

HALLELUJAH! No foundation masks around my neckline!

One of my favourite features of the Micellar Cleansing water is the dispenser. You can put your cotton pad on top and then use the pump. You have so much more control over how much cleansing water you are using and also it’s SO much easier to use! Very impressed with this.

I used the mud mask as a Saturday morning pamper and it was great! Plenty of product in the packet to get a good layer of the mud mask. It felt amazing on the skin and had a lovely cooling sensation! The mud mask contains cotton extract and cottonseed oil to help prevent irritation whilst gently nourishing, softening and refreshing delicate skin!

Interesting fact, the facial wipes are made in-part from recycled cotton t-shirts, saving energy and water and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, which is something I can definitely get on board with!

All of are 95% natural (or more), cruelty free (plus Leaping Bunny Certified), vegan and formulated without Parabens, SLS and Silicones! I’m a huge advocate of products which haven’t been tested on animals so big thumbs up from me.

All products are available from Holland and Barrett.
