It’s that time again, it is Feb’s favourite five, that’s a bit of a mouthful isnt it! I’m forever trying new products and finding new favourites so I’m glad to be back doing these posts and sharing great products with you! February has been hard going on the skin, the freezing temperatures to the milder temperature, my skin doesn’t like the up and down weather, so I’ve had to give it some extra love this month.
Let’s go straight in with my favourite, favourite product this month:
I’m new to these products and I’m seriously impressed. As I’ve mentioned I’m suffering my dry skin patches, while other parts of my face are oily! It is like a toddler having a tantrum, one minute it’s behaving and then the next, everything is going wrong. I don’t want to jinx it, but I don’t usually get spots or breakouts, it’s the dry vs oil is ANNOYING AS HELL. The cream is thick but soaks in beautifully and doesn’t leave any residue, it just feels so moistursing, but not greasy at all. The idea, hence the name, is that it works like a corset, giving you a more lifted appearance! It’s a day and night cream so great for travelling as you only need one pot!
While we’re talking about fresh products, next up is the best smelling lip balm you’ll ever smell
I am a sucker for a good lip balm, I never ever finish one and then buy another, I’ve always got at least 4 in my hang bag! I can’t put my finger on what this exactly smells like, but its sweet, lemony goodness! It feels so nice on your lips, not sticky at all, I strongly detest sticky lip products! This lasts for ages on the lips too and keeps my lips moisturised for hours!
Let’s talk make up!
Again, a new brand to me. Suqquu is a japonese brand. Their colours, products and packaging are absolutely stunning, a very luxurious brand. I usually only wear a neutral matte brown eyeshadow, but I’ve been using the darker colours under my eye and the lighter colour as a subtle inner corner highlight! They’re such beautiful tones and the pigment is great! I’ve got their compact foundation and a blush to use. They’re so pretty, I don’t want to use them! They are stocked in Harrods and Selfridges, I can’t find this quad online but all of their eyeshadow quads are amazing!
Now I’ve tried other Laura Mercier products before and really enjoyed using them, but I’d never tried any of her primers and I know her primers are really popular, so I couldn’t wait to try this. It soaks in so quickly, and leaves such a perfect base for you to apply your foundation. The plastic tube is perfect for squeezing that very last bit out!
I feel 100 time better when my face is tanned, when I haven’t got any make up on, I’m so pale that it makes me look ill! But with a little fake tan, I feel more confident to have a makeup free day or just not like Casper the ghost! I’ve been using this overnight face mask to give me a glow the next day! I was worried it was going to transfer on to my pillow, but it didn’t, so you just use it in the evening, and wake up with a sun-kissed face, just like you’ve woken up in the Bahamas!
