Throughout my life, luckily, I haven’t suffered from bad skin. I’ve never had acne, nor prone to breakouts, however, in May this year, I turned 25 and I’m really noticing a difference to my skin. I’m getting fine lines under my eyes, and especially with the bad weather I’m suffering with dry patches. It just find it dull, patchy and not like it used to be!
I was invited to have my face ‘Mapped’ by Dermalogica for the ‘Every Face Tells A Story’ campaign. They analysed every part of my face and created a skin care prescription, which was suited just for my skin. Sometimes when I need to buy new products, I’m overwhelmed with the choice available. Step in to Boots, Space NK or any other place full of skin care, and you’re bombarded with options! So the process of having your skin analysed and skin care recommended by professionals which is suited to your own skin is a big yes from me.
You can find your local Dermalogica expert by using the search here. I visited the Skin and Tonic beauty salon as this was closest to where I live.
I’ve been using 4 of the Dermalogica products which were recommended to me;
My favourite product out of the ones I have been trying is the Pre cleanse. We know how important it is to double cleanse to ensure all of the make-up is gone, but this is specially formulated for pre cleansing. It smells amazing and is oil based so gets any stubborn eyeliner or mascara off, massage it in and add a splash off water, it turns in to a milky cleanser! I love the daily microfoliant too, it is a powder which when you mix with a little water, you get a foamy gritty exfoliator to deep clean!
I really love the message behind the campaign, ‘Every Face Tells a Story’, and it couldn’t be truer. Every face does tell a story, we all have our own individual story and have no idea what battles people are fighting, so let’s always be kind!
