Say hello to some of Barry M’s dreamy new A/W products. Matte Lip Paints, Primer and Setting sprays and a contour cream kit!

Oh my, I’m so excited to share these with you and particularly excited for the Matte Lip Paints. I’m always slathering on lip balms but I do struggle with dry lips a lot of the time, so I have avoided matte lipsticks as the thought of a matte lipstick clinging to dry lips is really not the one. I honestly have to say that although these lipsticks are matte, they are creamy and not drying at all. I exfoliate my lips, then pop a little lip balm and then these lipsticks on top are amazing. As they are matte, I find they last a lot longer too. That’s it, I’m a matte lipstick convert. Oh, how could I forget to mention, they are £4.99, superb value for money. I have been seriously loving ‘obsessed’ and ‘cutie pie’ shades. ‘Heartbreaker’ is going to be perfect for a vampy halloween lip! The matte packaging also has that luxurious feel to it, and look at the BM imprint stamp on the lipstick, its all the little things!

The Contour Cream Kit (£7.99) has 3 highlight and 3 contour shades, I’m usually a powder contourer so it has been fun playing around with the creams, I still need a little practice, but the cream gives a much softer and more blended finish which I love. Also, if you go wrong, like me, the creams are a lot easier to blend out rather powders!

I love a setting spray, just to fix all of your hard work in the place! With the ‘Mist and Fix’ (£4.99) there are 2 options available. A dewy finish for, yep, you guessed it, a dewy look. Perfect for holidays or to show off a healthy glow. And then the Matte finish spray, leaving you all set for a day in the city where you want your makeup to stay tip top all day.

Do you use a primer? I’m no make up artist but to me this is one of the most important products in the make up bag region! Creating that smooth, even, hydrated base so when you apply your foundation, it sits just nicely! Barry M’s got us sorted with the ‘Hydro Fix Primer Water’, perfect for lazy girls, a few spritz’s and you’re nourished, hydrated and any those pesky pores are minimised. You’ll thank me later.

Barry M is one of my favourite drugstore brands, not just because they are always my go-to nail varnish brand, but they are cruelty free. They do not test on animals, all the bunnies are safe! So many big brands are still testing on animals, and it is so sad, I really hate the thought of it 🙁 You can read more about Barry M’s cruelty free story here.

Let me know if you’ve tried any of the new products out!
