L’Oreal Studio Pro #Whodoyouwanttobetoday
So, I’ve teamed up with L’oreal to show you how I style my hair. L’Oreal’s new Studio Pro range gives you the diversity to create multiple different looks, with the same products, hence the hashtag #whodoyouwanttobetoday. Today I’m going with my go-to look which is always a wavy look with some texture going on!
I start of by washing and conditioning your hair, I always like to double cleanse my hair to ensure it is squeaky clean, and I leave my conditioner on for a few minutes to let it really soak in and do its thing.
After, I towel dry my hair and apply ‘Hot and Sleek Heat Cream’. This is designed to give you a long lasting sleek and polished looking style whilst protecting your hair from your heated styling tools. I added a 2p amount and worked it through the mid-length and ends.
Next, I spritz a little ‘Hot and Straight Heat Spray’, just to add further heat protection. I have also added a little ‘Boost it’ mousse to the roots, I like to get some volume in there! It provides 48hrs endurance which is amazing, seeing as I don’t wash my hair every day, knowing there will still be some hold left in my hair the next day makes me a rather happy bunny as its giving me extra time in bed in the mornings!
I now section my hair and start blow drying it with a big round brush. I have to admit, this has taken a little while to get the hang of and it kills my arms, but my hair is rather curly and frizzy so this really helps to smooth it down.
I work through the sections and then just blast my hair with the cool air setting to close the hair cuticles and also to cool myself off! Blow drying is hot work!
Although I have a lot of hair, it is actually quite fine, unruly and slightly frizzy. This may seem odd, but before I wave my hair, I like to straighten it, just to smooth it down. So, I give it a quick run over with my trusty ghd’s.
Now, its time to make some waves!
Again, I section off my hair and take 1inch sections. I wrap each section round the barrel, always curling away from the face so the curls are going in the same direction. Once each section is curled, I spray the completed section with the ‘Lock It Fixing Hairspray’ and move on to the next section.
Once all of the sections are curled and sprayed, I now run my fingers through the curls, breaking them up in to more of a waves style than curls! Give it a good old shake up and final spray of ‘Lock It Fixing Hairspray’ and TA DA, complete!
I hope you’ve enjoyed this look and if you have any questions, give me a tweet @laurabyrnes6
