Jacket – Topshop / Top – Primark / Skirt – ASOS / Shoes – H&M / Hat – ASOS

Recently I attended a photography event held by John Lewis, so I thought I’d share my evening at this event with you!

As soon as I got the invite, in my head I was planning on what to wear because at these events everyone is looking super fabulous and on trend, so the pressure is on to look your best! Time just runs away with me these days, so unfortunately I had actually left my outfit to the last  minute to sort out. As always, I can always rely on ASOS for the next day delivery service and I snapped up this cute grey scallop skirt to wear with my stripy bardot top and dusky pink sleeveless blazer.

I thought I was playing it safe wearing flats, but no, however lovely looking these shoes are, they sure gave me huge blisters before I had arrived at the event! Next time, I’m going to pack shoes that I know are comfortable for the travel and then change shoes when I am there!

It was a hot sunny and sweaty afternoon in London, the tube strike was on, I had huge blisters on my ankles, O and yes of course, I had spilt the food down me. It wasn’t a great start BUT you have to make the best of a bad situation and ended up having a lovely evening and meeting some lovely blogger babes!

As I have mentioned before, it is always a little nerve-racking attending events on your own but once you get there everyone is so friendly and it is great to meet like-minded people. They all understand that I have to take a picture of the food and drinks before you can tuck in!

Sometimes I think people have misconceptions of bloggers, we don’t just pose in front of a camera (I wish it was that easy haha) but it’s all of the ‘behind the scenes’ hard work that people maybe don’t realise. So when John Lewis invited me to a bloggers photography masterclass, I jumped at the chance! In all honestly, I hardly know anything about photography, I stick the camera on a tripod and off we go, hoping for the best! I learned some new tips and tricks so fingers crossed I can improve my photography now.

We had some yummy food supplied by Rossopomodoro. It was so tasty… so tasty that I enjoyed it so much that I had dribbled it all down me! There were some amazing freshly made cocktails on hand too, I opted for a virgin strawberry fizz which was so refreshing in the warm weather.

Hope you’ve enjoyed my little round up, speak soon!
