I’ve been on the hunt for a camel/neutral coloured mac/jacket for so long and I just couldn’t find ‘the one’. It was one of those things where I had the perfect one pictured in my head but if I had to describe it, I wouldn’t actually really know what I wanted so I was hoping that one would just jump out at me, and luckily, it did. Good old trusty Topshop.
It’s loose fitting which is exactly what I wanted and the shade of camel is just right. With spring on its way, I wanted something versatile which would be easy to chuck on over an array of outfits. Not everyone gets it though, when I first put it on my mother said it reminded her of a flasher mac and my brother referenced it to something an elderly relative would wear. So they burst my bubble a little after I was so chuffed I had found one that ticked all of my boxes, but as the saying goes ‘forget the rules, if you like it, wear it’ I think I’ll be going with that – what does my brother know about fashion anyway.
Keeping it fairly simple, I opted for a long white utility shirt, this one was £10 from Primark! Such a bargain, it’s going to be a handy staple to have in my spring/summer wardrobe. The utility trend and oversized shirts are big business, it’s a staple that everyone can wear as it’s so versatile.
These gorgeous Zara loafers came out to play again, they are a perfect match to the mac!
Has anyone else been on the hunt for a nude/camel mac – be sure to let me know your findings….
