I haven’t done a ‘fave five’ post in a while and as October has drawn to an end, I thought it was a good time to do one.
My make-up must haves have had a little change up recently as we are leaving the warmer weather and entering winter so let’s start this off, in no particular order…
Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum
When it comes to foundations, I am pretty fussy. I like a medium coverage with a glow and good lasting power. This foundation definitely ticks those boxes. It has a fairly thick consistency as it is gel based but it blends so easy and gives a nice glow. It has great longevity and has a slightly fruity fragrance too. I use the shade 53 (light beige) and apply with my real techniques buffing brush. I’ve just repurchased my second bottle as I’m sure you can tell how clean the bottle is! Really love this foundation, I don’t see myself parting with it any time soon.
MAC Pro Longwear Concealer
I make a conscious effort to look after my skin so I don’t have many breakouts but one thing I just can’t shift is the dark circles under my eyes. They aren’t that bad but I just love when the under eye area is super bright and has that Kim Kardashian look! I love this concealer for that eye brightening effect. I use the shade NC15 and pat in with my finger as I prefer this to a brush under my eye. This is a well loved and well used product as you can tell by the mess! At first I thought it was going to be really thick and cakey but it isn’t at all. Its light weight and easy to build up and lasts all day too, YAY!
Seventeen Back Lash Mascara
This mascara was free as I had purchased two other products and I was rather reluctant to use it. I had my favourite mascara and was happy with that so why change? One dull Monday morning I realised I had run out of mascara, well it doesn’t exactly just run out does it but it was going dry and ‘less black’, in desperation I remembered I had this one and gave it a try. With low expectations, my Monday morning was perked up and let’s say I was thrilled. It says it gives you volume, length and definition and it certainly does! It gives my eyelashes great lift and no clumps at all. I see a repurchase on the cards.
New CID i-glow Coral Crush
This blush is just gorgeous; you can see the different pinky peachy tones running through it. What I love the most about this product is that it is subtle. You can add as much or little as you like. It leaves such glow on your cheek bones. This isn’t glittery and you aren’t left with bits of sparse glitter on your cheeks! It provides a shimmery glow that reflects really well in the light. They have a couple of other shades too that are on my Christmas list!
Maybelline Grape Baby Lips
I know the hype has been and gone with the baby lips and a lot of people weren’t impressed. I wouldn’t say they are super moisturising but why this product is in my favourites is because of its colour! It leaves a hint of purple sheen on the lips which I absolutely love and is right on trend. I use this more of a lipstick rather than a lip balm. Perfect for every day wear!
