Faux Fur – ASOS / Jacket – Zara / Shirt – Topshop / Shorts – H&M / Boots – Topshop
If you follow me on Instagram, you would have probably noticed that I clogged up your feeds with all things pretty from the event I attended on Saturday. My Bandage dress kindly held a bloggers event to preview their Autumn/Winter collection. There was cute cupcakes, a balloon filled ceiling, a catwalk showcasing the new clothing, and mobs of bloggers.
As I’m still fairly new to the blogging world and especially new to blogging events, it is an absolute anxious nightmare thinking about what the hell you are going to wear and what a massive loner you are going to be. Luckily I have made some Instagram pals so we met before hand. It is still daunting, but going out of your comfort zone really does build your confidence and allows you to meet so many lovely people! I met some gorgeous bloggers who also shared the love for burgers so after the event we stuffed our faces with five guys, it’s just incredible. It’s not fancy, your food is serviced in brown paper bags, but it is what’s inside that counts and I’ll say the queue is without a doubt worth it.
The biggest dilemma of all is what you are going to wear. I’d recently invested in these gorgeous leather thigh high boots. At first I was a little hesitant about these as I felt a bit like a hooker but I think as long as you wear them in the correct way then you are OK. They are also quite flattering on the leg too! To balance it out, I need my top half covered up, so I opted for my Topshop grid print shirt which is one of my favourite recent purchases. You know that I love a pair of shorts, these little beauties were around £15 from H&M, perfect colour for the winter, I could also pop a pair of tights under when the British winter weather really sets in! To update my old beloved leather jacket I added a black faux fur collar to finish it off.
