I had eyed up this snazzy spring suit so long ago but the weather was cold, windy and dark so to be honest, putting my winter body in this was the last thing on my mind. HOWEVER, hasn’t the weather changed! I can feel spring is on the way and I am fully embracing it. Who said tailoring was boring anyway…
As everyone is probably aware, pastels are a big hit for the spring and summer. Out of all of the cute fondant fancy pastel colours, I think the blue and lilac have got to be my current faves. I am of the fairer skin variety so I think the pastel blue is a soft and complementary shade to our skin tone. I’ve over stocked a little on the blue hue clothing so I need to shortlist them, see who makes the cut and then return the rejects! Serious stuff goes down in my wardrobe.
Keeping in tone with the smart suit two piece, I decided I would team this with a white sheer shirt. This really got my summer vibes going! I’m also wearing my Dorothy Perkins rather flashy silver shoes. I can’t decide whether I feel like a tap dancer, magician or a street performer in Covent Garden? Either way, I love them and the holographic/silver trend is going strong in to the summer.
I wish I had a smart occasion in the summer to go to so I could wear this but I don’t….so I think I will tone this down a little and make it more casual and wearable!
Are you ready to be a fondant fancy or are you still lurking in your winter wardrobe?!
