Kimono – ASOS

Shorts – ASOS

Top – New Look

Necklace – H&M

Boots – Topshop

I’m sure the wind is out to get me… Every time I do my photos, the wind is so gusty and my hair is all over the show!

I’ve had bit of a shopping splurge recently and this little 2 piece was the top of my ‘wanted’ list.

Absolutely adoring the matchy matchy 2 piece/co-ords at the moment and I feel this particular ‘high waisted shorts– kimono’ set fits in perfectly to the transitional period between the seasons. Spring will soon be upon us *fingers, toes, legs, arms, everything crossed* and although I know this outfit isn’t full of colour, the floral pattern bring more of a spring feel to it. I love that it is so versatile, you could wear the shorts alone, wear the kimono alone, bring colour in to it or even pop a pair of tights on if the spring doesn’t come round as quick as we would like it to. Knowing our temperamental  English weather, the kimono is great as it works a little as a light jacket, so hopefully no chilly shoulders!  I wouldn’t say the shorts are ‘short shorts’ and the kimono covers up your top half, so I think wearing these peices together gives the look a fairly smart and classy finish.

I kept this 2 piece simple, I wanted it to be the statement so I just popped an off-white textured tee underneath. Jazzed it up a little with my fav H&M necklace and my faithful topshop ‘allsorts’ boots took care of my feet.  I’m still such a sucker for marvelling in monochrome, I.just.love.it! I’m thinking and hoping monochrome will stick around all year so I’ll be alright.

Keep an eye out for my upcoming posts including my most recent buys from my spending spree – coming very soon!

Anyway, have you guys picked up any 2 piece sets?

Speak soon xxx
