First of all, I feel the need to explain these photos…..As I am sure you are all aware, we have had some pretty gusty winds in the UK so taking these photos proved very tricky! The dress and hair was blowing everywhere, nightmare!
Anyway, can you believe Christmas was over a month ago? How time flies huh! We are already in to February, which means Valentine’s Day is approaching us so soon. Valentines isn’t something I like to celebrate really, I personally think it’s just a commercialised day where card manufactures, hotels, and restaurants can hike up their pricing plus you have to book so far in advance too! BUT it’s an excuse to dress up whether you’re going on a first date, a ‘date night’ with the boyf/husband or even a girl’s night out!
I’ve eyed up a few things which I think are Valentines worthy. Just in case you are lacking a little inspiration, I thought I would share these with you. I had actually prepared two evening outfits and two casual outfits, hoping that there may be something to help everyone. Unfortunately one of the casual outfit photos didn’t turn out so well, the lighting was really bad and the bloody wind was not helping! O well, who needs a picture – it was a casual shirt, jeans and heeled boots combo. An easy ‘effortless’ look. In New Look they have a mink coloured cute shirt with white hearts which would be perfect for this occasion. Click here to have a peek!
First up is the black jumpsuit. I love the details on the back and the cut away sides. It’s so flattering, complimentary and sexy. I’m not one to have a lot of flesh showing so I like the fact that the top half is out and bottom half is in! The only downside to this is, you have to go braless. Fine if you’ve got a larger perky set but for those like myself with the smaller variety, it’s a little daunting! I’m sure having a glass of wine whilst getting ready will get rid of the nerves. I have paired this with a pair of black strapped stilettos but if you wanted to add colour in, this could easily be done.

Next is the LBD. Classic but not so classic. When I initially think of a little black dress, I picture a tight dress, so this is a good alternative if you don’t like your dresses tight. You can eat a little more in this and it will go unnoticed. I would choose a loose dress over a tight dress any day as it’s a lot more comfortable and I feel more at ease. I haven’t worn a necklace with this dress as I love the simplicity and sophistication of it on its own. It’s fairly low cut so I don’t think you would want to over-do it. Instead I have teamed this little black beauty with some earrings, rings and bracelets. O and not forgetting a red lip.

Last up, is more of a casual ‘day date’/casual option. For obvious reasons I have pulled this shirt out of the wardrobe! (as its covered in hearts obvs)Popped a pair of coloured scallop shorts on with it, and good to go. You could also sport a pair of jeans with this look instead. It’s nice to bring some colour in to it so that’s why I opted for the coloured shorts. These boots have become a real staple in my wardrobe, they go with almost everything and so wearable. As always a necklace finishes a shirt off well so you could layer up any necklace over your shirt.
