Today I was up fairly early so I was lucky enough to see the few hours of morning Sunday sunshine! I wish the sun hung around all day. Hurry up summer! I really am a sun worshiper, the cold is not for me! However, one thing I do love, which I don’t do often, hardly ever actually, is go for a cute cosy country pub lunch, and that’s exactly what I did today with a few of my friends. We were chopsing away, catching up, having heart to hearts and the time just flew by! I had the Fish Pie which was so creamy and yummy! Perfect winter warmer. I was actually supposed to take a snap of it to add to my post today, but I couldn’t help but to tuck in straight away…..and completely forgot!

I went for a fairly smart/casual/simple look today with one of my favourite shirts from ASOS. I love the colours in this, it has a real monochrome vibe to it and little bits of turquoise (wow I haven’t used that word in ages) flecks in the flowers. Its the perfect ‘winter floral’. It is short sleeved, well I say short sleeves but they actually come to near my elbows which I like as it covers up a little more in these cold months, not that it’s a warm piece anyway! It has a pretty little peter pan style collar too. Teamed with my reliable Leigh Topshop black skinnies, ASOS cocoon coat and new beloved H&M necklace.

I have had my shopaholic eye on these patent chunky loafer style shoes in New Look for ages and I resisted as I have too much black footwear. I popped in to my local town the other week and I saw they were in the sale for £7. They had my size, need I say more? Done deal. Happy shopper!

This little bag is such a gem! I used to be like a donkey carting around a big heavy handbag full of ‘essentials’. It actually gave me a bad back! So, this dinky diamond is great for carrying the real essentials! It came with a shoulder strap too and that does come in handy especially when I forget my gloves and have to keep my hands in my coat pockets!

Hope everyone has had a great weekend, is anyone else loving their winter florals?
